10 Best Places to Retire Abroad

Recently, more and more people have been retiring outside of the U.S. This may be due to many reasons, but one of the most important ones is that when they retire abroad, people can live better for less money spent. Having this in mind, Americans retire abroad wanting to spend their golden years living at a lower cost, and they choose countries that are either near to their home, or as far as possible from it.

Another reason for moving abroad when they reach their retirement, besides finding a place where they can spend their days with less money than they would need at home, is the wish to live somewhere where they could really rest and enjoy, some place warm and sunny, where life would be like a long vacation.

Factors that should be taken into account if you are considering the option of retiring abroad are house prices, the costs of health care (and see if they are affordable for you), average temperature (and if it will be convenient for you, since you want it to be pleasant in order to be able to enjoy yourself), hours of sunshine and the frequency and the duration of rainfall. But maybe the most important factors to consider are grocery prices, crime rates (you’d want to feel safe) and taxation.

Looking for warm and sunny places with good health care, low crime rates and pleasant people, as well as affordable prices of housing, groceries and basic necessities, we made a list of 10 best places where you can retire abroad and enjoy your well earned relaxation time.
