Celebrities are far from perfect which is proved by the fact that every so often we hear about a star driving under influence, possessing illegal substances or we see their lovely faces on one of those mugshots.
However, sometimes the charges tend to be more serious and so we have celebrities accused of robbery, fraud and even murder. Read on and check out the worst felons of show business.
1. Don King
Don King is a famous boxing promoter who worked with some of the most notable names in boxing, such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier. But before he made his name as a boxing promoter, King had quite the trouble with the law.
He was convicted of murder, not once, but two times!
In 1954, King found a man, Hillary Brown, trying to rob one of his gambling houses. He took matters into his own hands and shot the man in the back killing him on the spot. But King got away with this one and he didn’t serve any time in prison for it, since the court decided that the homicide was justifiable. However, King’s violent ways returned in 1966, 12 years later, when one of his poor employees got in his way.
Sam Garrett lost his life when he was stomped to death by Don King. And what for? A debt of $600 dollars. We’re guessing King is not the kind of guy you would want to mess with. This time, he had to serve 3 and a half years in prison.
