Getting bored of always having the same hairstyle? Are you looking for some easy updos for those days when you’re on the rush? Well, worry no more! I’ll be giving you a few tricks on some simple and easy but fabulous hairstyle ideas.
- The ballerina bun – First, you have to make sure your hair is long enough so that it can be pulled up in a high ponytail. Then, proceed by brushing all the strands in the ponytail well, so they’re smooth and tangle-free. Next, grab the base of the ponytail, below the elastic closest to your hand, with your left hand. Now, take your right hand and pull the ponytail around to make a loop. Pull the end of the ponytail through the part of hair in your right hand to make a loose knot. After this, just fold all the loose ends of the ponytail around the knot to make a bun. Pin them down with bobby pins. At the end, the only thing left to do is to spray on some hairspray and look great!
- The pony posh – Use a comb to fluff up the middle and back layers before pulling your hair into the ponytail.
- Extra long double ponytail – Stack two ponytails to give the illusion of a longer, fuller ponytail. Start off with your hair blow-dried and curled. Freshly washed locks will work great and probably look better! Pull the lower half of your hair into a mid range ponytail. Comb and side-sweep the top half of your hair. Give it a little back combing for some volume if necessary. Secure the top half of your hair into a ponytail directly on top of the lower one. Drop the top ponytail. Loosen a few places and tuck away any strays to make sure it looks nice.
- Side pony – Start with clean, dry hair and use a brush to part hair to the side and detangle. Then loosely gather hair into a low ponytail on one side of the head (under one ear) and secure with a hair tie. Use a large curling iron to add curly texture to strands. Wrap one piece of hair around the hair tie and secure with a bobby pin to hide the elastic. Spritz on some shine spray for a glossy finish.
- Inside out ponytail bun – One of my favorite simple updos is to simply put my hair into a high ponytail, and then tuck the bottom portion of the ponytail in the part of the elastic of the ponytail to create a loose upside down “tuck” effect. Then, pull it up at the very top with a little tug to secure things and you’re good to go!
- The sleek ponytail – Start off by blow-drying wet hair. To get the hair to stick straight, use a large paddle brush (great for gals with long hair). Part your hair and sweep it back. You can part your hair on the side or center part – it’s your preference. Your hair should be pretty sleek after blow-drying, so sweep it all back and smooth with a fine toothcomb. Use a hair tie and secure the ponytail. You could go higher but that’s a different hairstyle. Today we’re sticking to a low ponytail. Get a small section of your hair from underneath the ponytail and wrap it around your hairband. Secure it with a couple of bobby pins. Smooth flyaways with hairspray, and voila!
- Bow tie – All you have to do is put your hair in a ponytail, make a bun, and divide the loop into two separate pieces that look like a bow. After you clip those pieces down, bring the piece wrapped around your hair tie between the two sections and secure it under the hair I know it sounds complicated, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to do it quickly and impress all your friends.
