The Kardashians started out as a reality TV show, only to turn into one of the most recognizable names on the planet. Whether we like it or not, this family has become a part of everyday life of anyone who has even the slightest idea of what is going on in the media.
Every day, there is something new about the odd lovebirds Kim and Kanye, or the youngest sister Kylie who has launched another selfie, or their father Bruce who is now a woman – Caitlyn. They can hardly be called a normal family, but one thing is for sure, this brought them a lot of money and media attention.
You can love them or not, but you can’t stay indifferent to them.
1. They Post Too Many Selfies
The Kardashian sisters have to be the queens of online selfies. Naturally, Kim is the leader when it comes to them. Every day, we can expect a new one – “woke up like this”, after a shower, in her underwear, etc.
But other sisters are following closely behind. Khloe is eager to show off her new body after spending months at the gym, Kylie is always willing to share a snap of her luscious (totally natural!?) lips, cleavage and toned body, while Kendall and Kourtney are not so outrageous when it comes to selfies, but they still post one every so often.
2. They’re Interested In Politics
As if the world wasn’t already messed up enough. Not all of the Kardashians want to get involved in politics – it’s only Kim and Kanye, for now.
Kim is modest, and she only wants to be the Mayor of Glendale, as she once stated. We are quite scared of how that would look, but not nearly as scared as we were when we heard that Kanye wants to run for President in 2020. We don’t even want to think about living in a country ruled by these two.
3. Their Claim To Fame
Seeing them in the media all the time, we tend to forget how the Kardashians actually got famous.
It all started with Kim’s leaked sex tape and her hanging out with Paris Hilton, and then, suddenly, they were everywhere. Now, they are somehow at every major event in Hollywood, flaunting their extravagant dresses and posing for photos, but they are far from actual stars who actually deserve to be there because of their talent and contribution to acting and music.
They just tag along and try to blend in.
4. They Are Outrageously Egocentric
How many times have we seen them fuss over the pettiest little things, breaking into tears and fighting over nothing?
But that’s why they’re so famous. They can turn the most insignificant thing into a big deal and make the world revolve around them. As always, Kim is the absolute queen of tears and can find any reason to make a drama, like when she loses an expensive earring in the ocean or when she thinks that her family is against her.
There are real catastrophes in the world, but who cares about that, right?
4. Kylie And Kendall Are Next
Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are getting older. They are settling down, getting married and having children. This doesn’t mean they are out of the spotlight, but if they ever get tired of all the attention and decide to give us a break, Kylie and Kendall will be right there to fill in for them.
The two youngest sisters are actually Jenners and they have been patiently waiting for their fifteen minutes of fame. We have watched them scream and fight somewhere in the background season in and season out on KUWTK, but now it’s their time to shine.
Kendall is taking the fashion world by storm, while Kylie is just an Instagram star for now.
5. Kim And Kanye’s Marriage
They are at the same time the most perfect and the most annoying couple in the world.
Perfect, because, let’s face it, they are a perfect match for each other. They are both rich, conceited, and dare we say, stupid.
They are the most annoying married couple for the same reasons. Because, when you combine two such unique personalities, you get a lot of drama, a lot of lavish spending and plenty of media coverage. The Internet is full of photos of little North West, who we wish good luck with parents like this. Also, Kim is pregnant again.
6. Media Frenzy
As we already said, you would have to be living under a rock not to know the latest news about the Kardashian family. The media coverage they get is insane and we get to know every little thing that happens in their lives.
If they get into a fight, if one of them breaks up with a boyfriend or gets a divorce – the media will be all over it for days. And this year, something unbelievable happened. NBC aired the Today’s Show with an interview with Kris Jenner instead of a 9/11 memorial service. Not even news stations are immune to Kardashians and nothing is sacred anymore.
