If you’re lazy, it doesn’t mean you have to eat ordinary, tasteless food, or base your diet on junk. There are so many amazing dishes you can make in no time and with not many ingredients. All it takes is some organization and hunger. Here are some fullproof recipes for lazy chefs which will assure you that you can make great food with little effort and time. You can return to your TV series or coffee with friends in a matter of minutes.
1. Slow cooker meatballs
Slow cooker dishes are almost always great, and they make your life so much easier. These meatballs are very easy to prepare, and making them requires only 3 ingredients. You will spend very little time on the preparation, and the result will be so great that you will want to serve this dish to your friends at your parties.
Now, when it comes to ingredients, you will probably be surprised, but trust us- you won’t be sorry if you try making this dish by following this recipe.
You will need one and a half cup of grape jelly and 12 oz bottle of chili sauce. As for the meatballs, you can buy them frozen at the supermarket, if you don’t feel like making them on your own. It all goes easy from here on. Spray the slow cooker with some cooking spray (or put a little oil) and put the meatballs inside. Pour the jelly and the sauce over them and leave it all covered to cook on high for four to six hours. You can simply forget about them, and then when they cross your mind, they will probably be done. You can serve them alone or with rice. This is a great meal you don’t have to spend much time making- the slow cooker and the stove do almost everything.
2. Bean and chicken sausage stew
This flavorful dish can really be prepared in only 15 minutes. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a sauce pan, and when it’s hot, add 12 ounces of cooked chicken sausage links. Stir every couple of minutes until the sausage along with oil becomes brown. Then add 2 thinly sliced garlic cloves and stir it for two minutes before adding 19 ounces of rinsed beans, 14.5 ounces of chicken broth and the same amount of diced tomatoes along with liquid (canned is fine). When you add these ingredients, cook until it boils, and then add kale leaves shopped into small pieces and season with equal amounts of salt and pepper. Leave it to boil for up to 3 minutes and it will be ready for serving. You can eat it like that, or with an addition of bread, and this amount is enough to feed four people, so you can turn it into a quick family lunch or dinner.
3. Margherita quesadilla
This dish only requires five minutes of prep time, and it’s so easy that anyone could make it and everyone will love it. And all you need are four ingredients. Slice 3 oz of mozzarella and 1 tomato. Then place them on one half of a flour tortilla and cook it for a minute on a non-stick pan without folding the tortilla. Once the bottom side of tortilla is brown and the cheese has melted, you can cover it with the other, empty half of tortilla, but not before topping the cheese and tomato with some freshly chopped basil leaves. Flip the folded tortilla, cook for a minute and voila! Here’s one of the simplest dishes you can make in less 10 minutes.
4. Ranch pork chops and veggies
With only 5 minutes of prep time and 5 ingredients, you will get a great meal without much effort and need to clean afterwards.
First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat the baking sheet with nonstick spray and cover it with 4 pork chops, 16 ounces of halved baby red potatoes and 16 ounces of trimmed green beans. Drizzle everything with olive oil and sprinkle with Ranch seasoning and 3 cloves of minced garlic. Also, add salt and pepper according to your liking. Place it into the oven and roast for around 22 minutes, covered, and then remove the cover and let it roast for 3 more minutes or until it looks carmelized.
This dish is better when eaten hot, so feel free to eat it straight from the oven. There is enough for 4 people, so enjoy this dish with your family or friends.
