14. New York City, New York
Centuries have passed, but New York has remained one of the greatest cities in the world. From the day it was founded New York developed quickly into the great metropolis that it is today. This is the land of opportunity and New York, with its Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, epitomizes the very fact. Need reasons to come and visit this great city? Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park, headquarters of the United Nations, Broadway shows, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, the Empire State Building, Metropolitan Museum of Art (or better known as the Met), and many, many more. Literally, there are entire countries that have less tourist sites and less cultural diversity than this city.
What you would want to do is get to Manhattan and explore the city on foot. Many of the iconic landmarks are located here, like Central Park and the Empire State Building. Soak up the scenery and keep an eye out for street vendors. New York is a city where you will never go hungry if you got a couple of bucks with you, as you can find a great selection of street food which originates from many different cuisines. And you have to go watch a Broadway show, if you don’t do that, it’s like you haven’t even been to NY.
