Top Spring 2015 Fashion Trends

It’s that time of the year again – to every fashion enthusiast, the beginning of a new season means the unveiling of fresh fashion trends.

Wondering what designers have in store for you? We caught a glimpse behind the velvet ropes and found a range of subtle to dramatic seventies-inspired bohemian deluxe to industrial chic ensembles.

Here’s a roundup of the top S/S 2015 fashion trends that made waves in New York, Paris, London and Milan:

1. Khaki– Often associated with military style for its famed army-color, Khaki is making a comeback since it first debuted over four decades ago and since, it has become a timeless style staple.

2. Luxury Bohemian – Romantic, whimsical and ethereal best describe these maxi dresses from Alberta Ferreti in pastels, Chloé in earth tones to Emilio Pucci’s vivid graphic prints.

3. Jumpsuits – Designer’s took into utilitarian work by borrowing inspiration from industrial uniforms. Dior, Pucci, Ralph Lauren showcased all-in-ones and jumpsuits with statement accessories such a scarves, big leather belts, and jewelry – pulling of an overall chic ensemble.

4. Denim – Just as diamonds, denim is forever – reinvented to shades of blue and incorporated with a variety of textured elements, as seen on the runways of the Gucci and Burberry fashion shows.

5. Lovely Lace – Romantic heroine roles dominate the runways at Valentino, Chloé and Louis Vuitton where soft, delicate fabrics, such as lace, flirt with the idea of bare skin. We must say, this collection is definitely dreamy!

6. Nautical – Nothing new to the spring/summer fad, often a favorite trend of the season! After all, nautical means sailing out to where there is sun, sand and sea. This in fact, is the epitome of summer!

7. Ballerina – Peach, beige, pink and cream; tutu skirts to long tulle dresses gave a dramatic impact on the runways perfect for a winning look at the red carpet of the Oscars.

8. Sultry Sheer – A hint of skin is like a breath of fresh air. Either for a dressy evening look or a hip day ensemble, sheer suggests subtle sexy – the kind that keeps you wanting more!

9. Kimono Trench Coats – Lightweight and slouched drapes, these kimono-inspired coats are spot on stylish and comfortable.

10. White Wash – What’s not to love? The head to toe white look is effortlessly chic and classic. New styling techniques mix textures, layering pieces, and coupling various shades into one outfit.

11. One Shoulder Cuts – At the Ralph Lauren, Tanya Taylor and Jill Stuart runway show, one shoulder cuts suggest shoulder baring and skin revealing tops and dresses that are the perfect date night ensemble.

12. Fringe – One trend you definitely don’t want to shake-off this season. This spring, it’s all about movement. Flapping, swinging, the fringe trend brings back flapper style reminiscent of the 1920’s.

13. Midriff Baring – Show off that toned upper abdomen and tiny waist with the retrieval of this seventies’ style trend – The midriff highlights your curves. How to style? Pair a crop top with a high waist skirt! This lists as one of 4 favorite fads of the season.
